BReminder

Contact import

Import Birthdays from Your Contacts

Start with the birthday information already saved in Google Contacts, then manage imported birthdays inside BReminder.

Avoid typing every birthday one by one

Many birthday lists begin in a contact book. If you already store birthdays in Google Contacts, BReminder can start an OAuth-based import flow and add contacts that include birthday information. That turns a scattered contact list into a focused birthday reminder list.

BReminder imports contacts that include birthday information and then refreshes your birthday list so you can review what was added. If you prefer to enter dates one at a time, manual birthday entry is always available.

A focused workspace for birthdays

The preview shows the same core BReminder ideas used throughout the app: upcoming birthdays, reminder lead time, relationship context, contact import, and card preparation.

Why BReminder helps

These benefits match the way this workflow helps: fewer scattered dates, clearer context, and more time to act.

Start from existing contacts

Use Google Contacts as the source when birthday details are already saved there.

Imports birthday contacts

BReminder's import response tracks total contacts and imported birthdays.

Review after import

Imported birthdays refresh the birthday list and dashboard data.

Add reminder timing

After birthdays are in BReminder, use reminder timing and relationship context to make the list useful.

How it works

A lightweight setup turns birthdays into an organized, repeatable reminder system.

1

Open Manage Contacts

After signing in, use the contacts area to start the Google Contacts import flow.

2

Authorize Google access

BReminder redirects to Google OAuth so you can authorize contact access for the import.

3

Manage imported birthdays

Once imported, birthdays appear in BReminder where you can review and edit your list.

What the import flow does

BReminder requests a Google Contacts authorization URL, sends the returned authorization code to the backend callback endpoint, and invalidates birthday and dashboard data so your list can refresh after the import.

The import flow is designed around contacts that already include birthday information. If a contact is missing a birthday in Google Contacts, add the birthday manually in BReminder or update the source contact before importing again.
